renowned Canadian author, poet, and typographer.
Robert Bringhurst is the author of more than thirty books, in a variety of genres: The Elements of Typographic Style, a book which the celebrated type designer Hermann Zapf declared should be "the Typographers' Bible";The Surface of Meaning, a visual study of book design in Canada, lavishly illustrated with examples from beautifully designed books; A Story As Sharp As A Knife, which brings to life the culture and literature of the Haida people. He will read from Selected Poems, which has just been reprinted in a new edition.
There will be a reception following the reading. The author will be signing books which will be available for sale.
